"Understanding the meaning of land degradation in the South African context"

On Wednesday, 13. 07. 2022, Dr. Graham von Maltitz (University of Stellenbosch/past affiliation CSIR – South Africa) will give a colloquia presentation on the topic: “Understanding the meaning of land degradation in the South African context”.

Dr. Graham von Maltitz has approximately 35 year of ecologic research experience in southern Africa,  covering aspects such as land degradation, savanna ecology, ecological and social impacts from biofuels, climate change and community based natural resource management.  He also has extensive experience working at the science-policy interface, having been a coordinating lead author of an IPBES Land Degradation and Restoration report, and having been an independent member of the UNCCD Science Policy Interface.
